COVID-19 STATE OF CHILDREN IN GHANA

Child Rights International today launched its report, “COVID-19: THE STATE OF CHILDREN IN GHANA”.

The report delves into how the virus has affected children in the areas of education, child protection and socio-economic activities.

The Executive Director of Child Rights International, Mr. Bright Kweku Appiah, in his speech to the media, shed light on the number of children who have contracted the virus and the mortality cases among children.

The statement also touched on the efficiency and effectiveness of the digital online platforms as well as its accessibility across country.

Another issue that was unravelled was the rise of child protection cases during the period of the pandemic.The report provides much needed information on these areas and how COVID-19 has changed the lives of children for the better or for worse.
