A press statement on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, by Mr. Bright Kweku Appiah, the Executive Director of Child Rights International, Ghana (CRI), said 19,743 children are currently unable to attend school as a result of the spillage from the Akosombo and Kpong dams.
AKOSOMBO DAM SPILLAGE: CRI STAFF DONATE TO NADMO TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AFFECTED
Child Rights International, Ghana (CRI) has donated GHȻ 50,000 to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) as emergency support to children and families affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.
The Executive Director of CRI, Bright Appiah, made the donation during his visit to some affected communities in the Volta Region on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
