SUSTAINING EFFECTS IN THE ELIMINATION OF CHILD LABOUR IN COCOA GROWING AREAS

With the commitment to protect children and ensure that they grow in a safe environment, CRI, in partnership with its partners is working to tackle issues of child protection in the cocoa-growing communities in Ghana. It utilizes the Ghana Child Labour Monitoring and System (GCLMS) which was developed by the Government of Ghana to handle child labor cases due to its systematic approach that guides in achieving results. By implementing the system, new perspectives to enhance the implementation of the GCLMS have been derived.

The launch of the report is to showcase the effectiveness of the GCLMS. The report launch was dubbed “Sustaining Efforts In The Elimination Of Child Labour In Cocoa Growing Areas.” on February 1, 2022, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel.

 

The report launch established and encouraged industry players that the Ghana Child Labour Monitoring System is effective and is usable.
